Blackjack is the most popular online casino game in the world. The simplistic rules and quick rounds make Blackjack a favorite among gamblers everywhere. The basic goal of this game is to get as close to the number 21 as possible without going over, and to beat the dealer’s hand. Blackjack games begin with every player being dealt two cards after wagers have been made. The dealer completes the round by flipping over a card in front of them so everyone can see it. This then prompts a second round of action where players can ask for more cards, stay with their current total, double down, or split their hand. Doubling down allows a player to double their original wager and draw another card from the deck. Assuming a player has two cards of equal value, they can split their hand and then play two hands at the same time. The dealer must hit until they have at least a score of 17. Card values are based on the numbers and card faces. All face cards except for the ace are worth 10; the ace is worth either 11 or 1 if a score of eleven would make the person go over 21. Number cards are worth their number – e.g. a 5 is worth 5. Anybody who is dealt a 21 within their first two cards is dealt a “natural”, and will receive one and a half times their original wager. If the dealer and the player both get a natural, the bet is a push and the player will get their original bet back. Anybody who doesn’t get a natural will automatically lose their bet without getting to draw another card when the dealer receives a natural.
