The only 4 Blackjack Tips you’ll ever need

posted in Blackjack

Many people think that online blackjack is a complicated game where one needs to study strategy for hours (or even days) to succeed. And there is a whole line of blackjack strategy books and articles dedicated to teaching people how to play the game better. But in all honesty, you don’t really need to know all of this information; you just need to know 4 tips. Here are 4 blackjack tips that will make you much better at the game.

1. When the dealer has an upcard of 6 or lower, you only need to keep drawing until you hit a 12 or higher

The most favorable situation you’ll find yourself in is when the dealer draws an upcard of 6 or lower. This means they’ll have to keep drawing until they hit a hard 17 or higher (online casino rules). It also means there’s a high probability that they will bust out.

2. If the dealer has an upcard of 7 or higher, you need to draw until you hit a 17 or higher

This presents the opposite situation as the previously discussed one because you are at more of a disadvantage now. With the dealer holding an upcard of 7 or higher, they have the potential to reach a hard 17 more easily without busting out. For this reason, you also need a solid hand before you choose to stay.

3. When your first two cards combine for a 10 or 11 and the dealer has a 9 or lower, you need to double down

This is the best time to double down because you’re ahead of the dealer and only need another face card for an excellent score. If you win the hand, you’ll be getting double the payout!

4. Aces and eights are the only cards you should split

Many players like to split cards whenever the chance arises. However, you should never split cards unless you are holding a pair of aces or a pair of eights.

Just knowing these 4 simple tips is a great start to becoming a winning blackjack player.
